Print Management System and Print Charging Implemented in Library

Effective August 28, 2000 the Pharos UnipriNT system will be installed to manage laser printing from all Library and 11th floor Learning Resource Center computers and printers. The print system uses the same Copycards that are on the Library's new digital photocopy machines. Charges for laser printing will be the same as for photocopying, 10 cents per page.

The Library will provide all BUMC registered students and all residents with a Copycard containing 100 free pages of printing. Students and residents can pick up their free Copycard at the Library's Reference Desk from August 28th - September 8th, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. After September 8th, the free card can be picked up at the Circulation Desk, during the same hours. All BUMC registered students and all residents must present a valid BU or BMC ID in order to pick up their free Copycard.

Please note that there are several options for printing one's work. Work can be saved to a disk. Search results from some Library databases can also be emailed to users. Additional information on printing work or search results is available in the Library's user guides or from Library staff.

Copycards for printing/copying can be purchased from the VendaCard machine on the Library's 12th floor. Faculty and staff using departmental accounts can purchase cards at the Library's Circulation Desk. Users with copies remaining on their old copycards can exchange them for new cards at the Library's Circulation Desk.
