COMPUTER UPGRADES IN LIBRARY LRC AND MCNARY RESOURCES CENTER CLASSROOM

In a continuing effort to provide students, faculty, and staff with access to high quality computing systems and services, the Library upgrades and replaces its computers on a regular basis. This summer, the Library upgraded and replaced 39 computers in the Learning Resources Center (LRC) computing lab, and in the McNary Learning Resource Center (R-107).

Thirty new Pentium III 667 Mhz computers were installed in the LRC this summer. All of the new computers can read DVDs. An additional 20 machines will be installed, to replace older machines, within the next few months.

The McNary computing classroom has also undergone significant renovations, allowing for an increased number of student workstations. There are now 30 workstations in McNary, 9 of which are new Pentium III 600 MHz machines.
